Routh and Ford, who are married in real life, are leaving The CW series and their respective roles as Ray Palmer/Atom and Nora Darhk. "Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family,” the show's producers said in a statement. “They have always brought a level passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show — both on and off the screen – that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful.” |

A DC's Legends of Tomorrow camera glitch made filming Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford's final episode more challenging
"It’s acting, but it’s also very real from the both of us," Routh tells EW of he and his real-life wife saying goodbye to The CW series. "The funny thing that happened is that we were having this weird camera glitch where the camera would just stop working. (One of the cameras) wouldn’t move. So, we’re shooting this very dramatic scene and we have one camera, so we had to do it so many more times than we should have to make it work. But thankfully, because we were so in it and invested and were really feeling the feelings of our characters, it came not easily, because it’s rough to cry that much and have that emotion come out, but we were there for each other, two buddies to the end. I hope that it’s impactful for the audience." |
