Commercial music has become integral to Netflix's numerous shows, creating a host of new licensing deals and opportunities or big-name pop stars to little-known artists. But as Billboard reports, "competition for these deals is stiff, and indie artists often get squeezed" with smaller acts receiving offers in the $500 to $1000 range. Still, artists benefit from the Netflix exposure. |
