, “but not in a way that anyone expects"
https://ew.com/tv/2019/07/18/star-tr...ard-storyline/ Executive producer Alex Kurtzman and showrunner Michael Chabon offered some details on what to expect from Patrick Stewart's return to the Star Trek universe. For one, Star Trek: Picard will be serialized, unlike Star Trek: The Next Generation. “Which isn’t necessarily new for Star Trek,” says Chabon, noting that Star Trek: Discovery is often serialized too, “but that is new for Picard.” Chabon also says the series won't shy away from Picard being older. "We’re dealing with a man who’s in a very different place in his life,” says Chabon. “It was terribly important to us that he remains fundamentally Picard,” says Kurtzman. Chabon adds: “The quality of Patrick’s acting, if anything, has gotten even better over time and he was already a master. He has an ability to hold you riveted even when he’s just sitting and listening.” |
