I cannot understand how FOX is making a revival of Beverly Hills 90210 because judging from the annoying previews that seem to play on TV every every hour it seems that FOX has high hopes for this Beverly Hills 90210 revival and expects it to be a huge hit. Also how can they manage to make this Beverly Hills 90210 revival when Luke Perry is no longer alive? Because on the original Beverly Hills 90210 it seemed that Jason Priestley and Luke Perry were the top actors on the show and Luke Perry cannot be replaced. I was a fan of the original Beverly Hills 90210 and I think this new revival won't last long and be cancelled after four or so episodes because nothing will hold a candle to the original Beverly Hills 90210

I believe that Luke Perry wasn't signed on for the revival due to "Riverdale". He wasn't mentioned as being among the cast when the revival was first announced.
