Streaming data from Nielson found that the Netflix drama's average minute audience was 12.8 million U.S. viewers, up 21% from Stranger Things 2's 10.6 million. Netflix announced earlier this week that 40.7 million accounts watched Season 3.

Stranger Things Season 3 is off to great start with excellent numbers due to the fans who are watching the show on Netflix.
