Who are the members in *'Modern Family'* talking to?
Why are the family members giving interviews to someone? Who is filming them? Is there an explanation for this in the first episode of the show?

Yeah, it was a total cop out. People invest 11 years waiting to find out who they were talking too and no pay off. LAME!

They were obviously talking to us, the TV audience. It's supposed to be a pretend documentary or mockumentary.
If you watch the first episode, you'll notice Dylan look nervously at the camera. In Survivor, the contestants talk to the audience. That is all they are doing in Modern Family. |
