Robert Kirkman Ends "The Walking Dead" Comic
The Walking Dead Comic Unexpectedly Ending with Latest Issue
by Clark Collis July 2, 2019 Writer Robert Kirkman has unexpectedly concluded his long-running horror comic, The Walking Dead. The new issue, #193, will be the last in the TV franchise-inspiring undead saga, which tracked the travails of Rick Grimes and his son Carl in a zombie apocalypse. In an essay which concludes #193, Kirkman confirms the issue will be the last The Walking Dead comic and explains why he did not prepare readers for its ending. The first issue was published in 2003. https://ew.com/books/2019/07/02/the-...obert-kirkman/ |

The Walking Dead comic book series comes to a shocking end
Robert Kirkman has topped last month's shocking twist with another: The Walking Dead comic book series, which began in 2003, is concluding with new issue No. 193. "I hate knowing what's coming," Kirkman wrote in the concluding pages of Walking Dead #193. "As a fan, I hate it when I realize I’m in the third act of a movie and the story is winding down. I hate that I can count commercial breaks and know I’m nearing the end of a TV show. I hate that you can feel when you’re getting to the end of a book, or a graphic novel. Some of the best episodes of Game of Thrones are when they’re structured in such a way and paced to perfection so your brain can’t tell if it’s been watching for 15 minutes or 50 minutes ... and when the end comes ... you’re stunned." ALSO: Why the comic book ending won't have much impact on the AMC series. AMC says The Walking Dead universe will be live on for "many years to come" in response to the comic book series' abrupt end “This extraordinary comic created a world that already lives in multiple forms, and in the hearts and minds of millions of fans around the world, and will for many years to come,” the network said in a statement in reaction to Robert Kirkman announcing today he is ending The Walking Dead after 16 years. |

Final The Walking Dead Issue to Go Back to Press
by Graeme McMillan July 3, 2019 Even though The Walking Dead No. 193 was only released Wednesday, Image Comics has announced that the issue has already sold out on the distributor level and will be headed to a second printing later this month. The issue, by the long-running creative team of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, marks a surprise conclusion to the zombie story that’s run since 2003. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...-press-1222544 |

AMC says The Walking Dead is not even close to its series finale despite the end of the comic book series
Despite The Walking Dead's steep ratings declines last season, AMC programming president David Madden said the zombie series is still a big deal on TV. "Once Game of Thrones is technically off the air, it’s the No. 2 show on TV," Madden said at the TV press tour. "You don’t sneeze at it being No. 2 out of the three billion shows that are on TV." |

Honestly they should finish the show too especially since Danai Gurira is leaving.

Even if they end the original TWD we still have FearTWD going, another TWD series coming up featuring teens, and Andrew Lincoln's movies.
It's not ending anytime soon.
