Not seen him anywhere so I assume he quit acting? He was really goofy and bizarre as the "Code man" but sometimes kinda funny.

What's he up to now?

You know I was thinking of him myself. I too really liked him on Step By Step. I looked him up on Wikipedia and he’s teaching martial arts I believe.

I REALLY HOPE Antenna gets Step By Step.

Kinda surprised he quit acting.

LOL..Martial arts?? He was in a huge hit show, Dallas, and then a major network show in Step by Step. Plus he did some movies.

He was in Hollywood easily over a decade. You'd think he made a few million in all that time you know?

I guess that explains how he got that role in Karate Kid 3.

^^^ Sasha isn't in any of the Karate Kid films, he did do at least one film named Kick Boxing I think it was.

I think it was called Kickboxer and it TOTALLY bombed! It might have even been direct to video.

Whoa, you're right! That Mike Barnes character sure did seem like Sasha Mitchell to me, but it looks like it was some actor named Sean Kanan.

^^^ That guy named Sean Kanan was actually on a Step By Step episode. He plays a guy that Karen took an interest in and when she got word that him and Dana were getting close, Karen then told him that Dana was only 14 years old instead of her real age which was 17 at the time. Season three I believe is where you can find his appearance on the show.

Part of me wonders if Sasha got blackballed due to the controversy over his departure from Step by Step (where he was made out to be a domestic abuser).

^^^ Thanks for the clip! I wish that I could see again the appearance that Sasha made years ago during the Entertainment Tonight show. What got him written out of the Step By Step show was addressed and it was then that Sasha talked about everything that his wife was guilty of and how his way of responding to it all is what gave her the ability to make him look like the monster. I am so glad that he was able to hang in there because sadly one of my most favorite singers was kicked to the floor so many times that a self inflicted gun shot wound is what ended his story, I love my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys SO much!!!

It wouldn't surprise me if Sasha didn't exactly quit Hollywood (like Christopher Castile becoming a political sciences professor after the end of Step by Step) so much as Hollywood quit on him. There's several rumors going around online that suggest that Sasha was to put things as nicely as possible, inappropriate with various actresses who guest starred or had walk on roles on SBS.

If you look at Sasha Mitchell's IMDb profile, he still worked relatively steadily post-SBS. But he appeared in mostly stuff most of us would likely never have heard of. Or he appeared in one-shot TV guest appearances. By the looks of it, his most high profile acting gig following SBS was four episodes of ER as Bartender / Patrick.

According to his Wikipedia page, he was eventually able to prove that his ex-wife was the real problem because she was a drug addict. Their kids were taken away from her and she was placed on supervised visitation.
