Because he’s a member of the establishment and he’s trying to make it look like anyone under 40 shouldn’t have access to power. Older people are afraid of youngsters embracing social democracy.

Heaven forbid members of the 1% pay higher taxes. For them that must be avoided at all costs, even if it means Trump getting re-elected.
