Which new character on Cheers made the most impact? Woody or Rebecca? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

They both had huge shoes to fill. Who did it better?

I'd say Rebecca because she had bigger shoes to fill than Woody did. She largely contributed to the show lasting as long as it did. I really enjoyed the Woody character, but he was very similar to Coach in a lot of ways.

Rebecca was originally written as an uptight, no-nonsense business woman. It wasn't until they made her man-hungry and needy that the comedy in her came out.
