The Good Place, the "heart of NBC's brand," is moving to the 9 p.m. Thursday timeslot

When The Good Place returns this fall, it will be "promoted" to the legendary 9 p.m. Thursday timeslot, where it will be paired with fellow Michael Schur-produced comedy Sunnyside. The Good Place will air after new comedy Perfect Harmony. During an upfronts conference call, NBC executives singled out The Good Place as being key to its strategy, calling it "the heart of NBC's brand." “In partnership with the research team we’ve dug into a wealth of information that they collect on how, when and why people are watching TV in this complex world,” said NBC Enertainment co-chairman George Cheeks during an upfronts conference call. “With this intel in hand, we know for example that The Good Place is actually one of the most viewed series on our air and that the average age of an SVU viewer is much closer to 43 than 57.
