Adrianne Palicki is celebrating her 36th birthday today. Palicki grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Los Angeles after finishing high school. She was about 20 when she began working in film and television. She made a couple of short films, followed by guest appearances on Smallville and CSI, and a multi-episode run on Supernatural. In 2006, she was cast as a regular on Friday Night Lights.

Palicki made her feature film debut in 2005. Her first major role was as Holly Rocket in Sebastian Gutierrez’s Women in Trouble and its sequel, Electra Luxx. Since then, Palicki has found a number of major roles in second-tier action films. She played Toni Walsh in the remake of Red Dawn, Jaye Burnett in G. I. Joe: Retaliation, and the assassin Ms. Perkins in John Wick.



In 2010, Palicki starred on Lone Star, a very short-lived Fox drama series. A few years later, she joined the regular cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for seasons 2 and 3, as Bobbi Morse. Palicki currently stars on Fox’s The Orville as Kelly Grayson. The sci-fi series recently completed its second season.

Palicki is known for being involved in a large number of pilots which were either unaired or not picked up as series. One of her first acting roles was as Judy Robinson in a Lost in Space reboot. She then played a villainous siren in an Aquaman pilot. More recently, she was cast in the title role of a Wonder Woman pilot, and then was to have continued her role of Bobbi Morse in a spinoff series, Most Wanted.
