https://www.npr.org/sections/health-...arcia-s-miffed The Season 1 Brady Bunch episode "Is There a Doctor in the House?," which aired in December 1969, revolves around the whole family getting the measles. Anti-vaccine groups are now using the episode as evidence that concern about measles is overblown. "I think it's really wrong when people use people's images today to promote whatever they want to promote and the person's image they're using they haven't asked or they have no idea where they stand on the issue," she says, adding: "As a mother, my daughter was vaccinated." McCormick says her real experience with measles wasn't at all like it was presented on screen. "Having the measles was not a fun thing," she says. "I remember it spread through my family." |
