Sarah Hyland has changed her hairstyle in recent months by taking out the long extensions and wearing her locks in their naturally curly state.

But the decision for the 28-year-old to rock her natural curls in recent months — which has caused a flurry on social media from fans used to seeing her hair straight — actually was decided once Sarah's hair started to grow back.

In an interview with Refinery29, Sarah explained she first started wearing extensions for her hit TV show to cover up hair loss caused by her endometriosis and kidney dysplasia.
