Does anyone remember this? How on Thanksgiving mornings and afternoons, I want to say mostly in the '90s, local stations would dump random cartoons on the schedule? And usually, said cartoons included several unsold pilots such as Bubsy and Battletoads. There was also a poorly-edited-together hour of the Power Team cartoons from the first season of Video Power.

Actually in the 70's the friday after thanksgiving became another mind blowing cartoon filled saturday morning on the networks beginning in the 60's.
I have 1960's TV Guide ads advertising special airings of bugs bunny, the beatles, King Kong, Milton The Monster, Magilla Gorilla, etc...all starting at 11am and continuing throughout the late afternoon. As a 1970's child i consistently remember what is now just a black friday shopping day then being filled glued to the TV with all my network saturday morning cartoon friends! I remember a lot of Looney's Tunes specials being on my local stations. Mainly Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck ones.

I did like watching cartoons on the day after Thanksgiving...as a matter of fact...I even made a tape with mostly cartoons and cartoon films on one tape called "The Day After Thanksgiving Tape"!
