Question Attire/Appearance changes you disliked

Be it a change in an person's hairstyle/color, a change in wardrobe, or as cruel as it may sound, a physical change like weight gain or loss.

Alexis Bledel on Gilmore Girls normally had great hair, but I did not like her much shorter cut for season 4.

End of season 3 Starsky and Hutch, David Soul had longish blond hair that I did not care for, and in season 4 he added a moustache to the look which I did not like at all.

Hutch's wardrobe changed too. I know DS was recovering from a back injury and it's been said that the clothes he wore were to accommodate a back brace, but the shirts the character wore were ugly, not because they made him look large. The patterns were ugly. A lot of Hawaiian shirts.

Marlo Thomas looked better with the bangs, than the part in the middle in the last season.

Some time during the run of Alice, Linda Lavin got a shorter hairstyle. I always preferred her with longer hair.

The absolute worst appearance change in the history of television had to be Kes from Star Trek Voyager. The show originally had Jennifer Lien in a short pixie-style wig and in very modest, cute outfits that gave her character an sweet, innocent quality. You could also tell she was playing an alien.

For some bizarre reason, at the height of Kes' popularity the show decided to "sex her up" and put her in revealing body suits, then gave her long shoulder-length hair. She no longer looked like a cute alien elf (just a generic human character) and lost a lot of what made the character charming. The change was so off putting it was like they may as well have just rewritten her character.

The show's creators seemed to become disenchanted with her as well after the change, because shortly afterwards, Kes was dumped for Seven of Nine.

Jackie started out really cute in the early seasons of Roseanne. Cute hair styles and clothes. Than in later seasons that God awful short haircut and her clothes were dumpy and kind of masculine!

Yes. She had beautiful hair, and it gave her a signature look.

When Valerie Bertinelli cut her hair short on One Day at a Time. I really didn't like that. I can't find any pictures of it but I'm sure Opus can.

This isn't really appearance and he couldn't help it but between seasons of Nanny and the Professor Hal's voice changed and was so deep it was distracting to the point of being creepy.
