Oh No

This doesn't sound good...

...then who will host "Jeopardy"?

This is really depressing.

The survival rate is next to zero for stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

I'm praying he pulls through, unlikely as it is. Alex is a TV staple and I can't imagine Jeopardy without him.

I hope and pray for only the best for this man. He’s a true American icon, even though he’s from Canada. Love him!

I wonder how this will affect Jeopardy this season now that Alex Trebek is gonna recover from cancer? Will this mean that he'll retire from Jeopardy forever or will Jeopardy end for good? Because if Alex retires here are my choices for understudies or replacement hosts
1. Anderson Cooper
2. Jeff Probst
3. Montel Williams
4. Todd Newton
5. Maury Povich
6. Patrick Warbarton
7. Patrick Duffy
8. Patrick Stewart
But what I think will happen is that Jeopardy will have a fill in week much like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire does when Chris Harrison takes the day off and Jeopardy fans will have the chance to vote on a special app for their favorite host and the winner gets the job of the new host of Jeopardy. Pretty cool idea don't you think?

My prayers are with him; this is a particularly difficult cancer to fight.

Hopefully Alex Trebek will hang in here because maybe cancer cannot take his life. My Prayers go out to him.

My pick for a replacement for Alex Trebek is Mo Rocca. He does frequent reports for CBS Sunday Morning and he also emceed the National Geographic Bee on PBS. He's witty and had great rapport with the talented young contestants that could translate into one of TV's longest running game shows.

If Alex has to leave Jeopardy, the best replacements for host would be Ken Jennings or Brad Rutter. I also would like to see a week long tournament with just them in an epic match. If a 3rd player is needed, Colby the other captain from the all-star game finals could join them.

Doctors say the odds of Alex Trebek beating his pancreatic cancer aren't in his favor.

Patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at stage 4 live an average of 12 to 15 months, said Dr. Timothy Donahue, professor of surgery, chief of surgical oncology and a pancreatic surgeon at UCLA. Donahue says, however, that the Jeopardy! host vowing to continue working will help him in his battle. "It's best for them to try and continue their normal lives as much as possible," he says. "It keeps their spirits up when combating this disease and trying to tolerate the treatment."

Oh No

This might be Trebek's last year on Jeopardy...

Even though I did an impersonation of Sean Connery today...seriously...I hope the best for him...we may lose Trebek this year...

When I first heard that he had pancreatic cancer, I immediately wondered if Alex was a heavy drinker and smoker. Michael Landon and Patrick Swayze were apparently huge smokers and drinkers leading up to getting pancreatic cancer themselves.

In a sad coincidence, Art Fleming, the original- and only other- Jeopardy! host, also got pancreatic cancer, and died of the disease.

Wow!! Stage 4 cancer is really bad!! He must have known for a while that he was ill and is just now making it public ! And pancreatic cancer is one of the worst forms of cancer !! Lots of prayers to him!! It's really sad, not to be negative but this doesn't seem like it will turn out well!!
