Default Garrett Morris—“Martin Lawrence fired me while I was in the hospital.”

Quote:
Actor #GarrettMorris says to this day he still doesn’t know why he was fired from #Martin
Cliffs:
  • -Interviewer asks what happened with the fallout between Tisha Campbell and Martin.

    -He compliments Tisha Campbell.

-Mr. Morris, 82, says he was off the show by that time because he had been fired by Martin Lawrence.

-Martin fired him while he was in the hospital after being shot in an attempted robbery in 1994.

-At the time, Martin went around giving interviews, lying that he was visiting Garrett Morris in the hospital and sitting at his bedside.

But he returned for a guest appearance 2 years later

Martin Lawrence gives me sociopathic vibes (keep in mind that he all but lied to the press about visiting Garrett in the hospital and continuously being by his side), so it wouldn't surprised me that he would do that to Garrett Morris. And no, that just because Garrett was presumably able to "forgive and forget" (and provide closure to his character) doesn't let Martin off the hook. There are numerous innuendos going around about Martin having a dark side to him.

its hard to believe the story since he made a guest appearance in 1995

Legendary comedic actor Garrett Morris would star as Stan on 'Martin' for several seasons. Unfortunately, Morris would end up in a near fatal incident only to find out that he would no longer be on the hit series.

Legendary SNL Actor and star on Martin Jamie Fox Garret Morris talks about his terrifying ordeal being robbed put in a coma then fired from Martin. He doesn't hold back about he feeling for Martin and why he feels he was fired from the show the way he was.
