CBS News is "seriously considering" replacing Glor, who became CBS Evening News anchor less than 15 months ago, with the CBS This Morning co-anchor -- "so much so that the network is considering moving the broadcast from New York to Washington D.C. to accommodate O’Donnell," according to Page Six. Meanwhile, Variety reports that new CBS News president Susan Zirinsky is considering making the change as "part of a top-down look at the news division." Glor has struggled in the ratings since replacing Scott Pelley in December 2017. Page Six reports O'Donnell has been "campaigning for the prized gig since before Glor took over, (and) would prefer to be based in the capital because her husband has a string of restaurants in the city, so the family currently splits its time between New York and D.C. Sources say that O’Donnell has been actively lobbying executives to move her to D.C. for some time, and that in the last couple of weeks CBS has begun to make very tentative plans to set up an operation there for her, should she get the job." |

Katie Couric didn't work out so what makes CBS think Norah O'Donnell can save the sinking ship?
They could hire Oprah and the ratings would probably still tank. Too bad they can't just use a hologram of Walter Cronkite.
