The This Is Us star, who was married to the singer-songwriter from 2009 to 2016, is one of seven women to accuse Adams of bad behavior in a New York Times exposé published Wednesday afternoon. Moore alleges Adams used his position in the music industry to control her career, hindering her prospects. “Music was a point of control for him,” she tells The Times, adding: "His controlling behavior essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time—my entire mid-to-late 20s." Adams responded by calling the story “upsettingly inaccurate," adding that "I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes."
