Question "Bad seasons" of TV shows, that you actually liked

Even the best shows have worse seasons somewhere (and it's occasionally NOT the last season, or last few seasons) but are still liked by some fans of that show.

I like every season of M*A*S*H. There are some clunker episodes but no bad seasons, and this was a show that handled cast changes really well. I also like most of the Happy Days run, it was still a good show after Ron Howard left. Season 10 would be the weakest because Joanie left for her spin-off. However, while KC wasn't a favorite of mine on that season, the last time I saw it was before I became a Crystal Bernard fan from Wings. I also like the first 2 seasons of Newhart more than a lot of fans. Some think Leslie didn't compare to Stephanie, but Leslie was a lot nicer and prettier. While Stephanie may have had more funny moments on the show, in real life I would much rather be with someone like Leslie. Also, while Kirk wasn't a big favorite of mine like George, Larry and the Daryls, and Dick, I liked Kirk better than his replacement Michael. Michael was ok by himself but he and Stephanie made for an annoying couple a lot of the time. Season 1 of Night Court I like more than a lot of fans. I was sad to see Lana not kept, although Mac was a good replacement. Plus Dan wasn't as sleazy then, the reason he wasn't a contender for my top 1000 characters list is the show being a lot trashier when it centers on him. Yes John Laroquette was a good actor, but a little of him went a long way. On Valerie/The Hogan Family, the Sandy Duncan era lasted longer and might have been more popular. But I don't care for her much as a lead actress, the Valerie Harper seasons are a lot better. And this is not about the actual show, but I like the later Growing Pains acapella theme song more than most fans.

I also like the Connecticut episodes of I Love Lucy, they made for a good ending on the half hour version. The first part of season 1 was the weakest but that is just compared to the rest of the show. Compared to other shows in general, the whole series was still excellent.

Seasons 8 and 9 of The Office U.S., though there were some pretty hit or miss episodes in season 9.

I think the fifth season of The Brady Bunch is better than the first 2 seasons. Season 5 overall is very good.

I loved S6 of DESIGNING WOMEN even though most fans hated it because of Julia Duffy's character Allison Sugarbaker. I would rather watch that season than any episodes from S1-3.

I agree, I liked Julia Duffy as well. I also didn't mind Jan Hooks since I already loved her from SNL.

Fifth Season of The Brady Bunch where all 6 Brady siblings are fully matured teens. It was a lot better than the First Season.

I actually enjoyed season 9 of Roseanne as over-the-top and stupid it was, it was kind of refreshing. I know a lot of people hate that season because they won the lottery but it's one of those it's so bad, it's good, type of season.

The Richard Hatch season of The Streets of San Francisco (fifth-and-final, 1976-77); sure, Richard would never be to the level of Michael Douglas on that ABC police/detective series, but his season did have several fine episodes!

I enjoy the later seasons of The Waltons, the episodes with Jason and Ben overseas during WWII, Cousin Rose, even the episodes with the fake-John Boy.

The only later season episode that I do not like and skip is when Mary Ellen finds out her husband Curtis wasn't killed at Pearl Harbor and is living in Florida.

I enjoy the New York Season (Season 6) of Gimme a Break! more than the Chief-less Season 5.

Season 9 of All in the Family when Stephanie arrives. I used to HATE that season but after a few watches of it, i've decided there are a few gems in there like "Edith vs. the Bank", "Weekend in the Country" when they spent the night at the cabin and fights ensue and of course "California Here We Are", when they go to California to visit the Stivics.
