While Law & Order: SVU is available for streaming on Hulu, the original Law & Order is nowhere to be found on streaming services. Turns out the show is a victim of its own success, as Josef Adalian discovered. At 456 episodes, a source explains, “the series has so many episodes that the show would be pretty expensive to license in its entirety."

NBC should release all 20 seasons of Law & Order to help viewers cope with staying home due to the coronavirus

Even though all 20 season of Dick Wolf's signature crime series will soon be available on Peacock streaming service, Brandy Jensen says that's not enough. "People are already anxious and afraid, and insofar as any of us are able we should do what we can to help," says Jensen. "This is why I am calling on the executives at NBCUniversal to do what is right, and immediately make all 20 seasons of original Law & Order available for streaming on all platforms."
