Question Should Becky be criticized for settling with Jesse

Lets face facts for a moment. Jesse was a 30 year old guy who was still trying to chase his non-existent music career, could never keep a job, didn't have a car and was riding a motorcycle for awhile. And on top of that, he couldn't pay for his own engagement ring. Becky also married a man who made all of his life decisions based on Michelle's happiness.

In effect, Becky married a man-child so it's astonishing that she would be perfectly OK with this. If Full House was being made today, would most women on social media be comfortable with the idea of an attractive, professional young woman like Rebecca Donaldson shacking up in the attic with her unemployed husband's brother in law and his family?

^^^ Do keep in mind that Jesse didn't stay unemployed as you call him forever. He eventually went onto becoming a radio DJ and the owner of the Smash Club.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Also when him and Becky first got together, his job then was in the advertising field.

One not as decidedly lazy creative choice that I read would be to force Jesse and Becky to move back in with the Tanners through something horrible that befell Becky's apartment like a fire or earthquake.

Still, especially in hindsight, it was obvious that Jesse wasn't mature enough to be married. I mean, DJ and Stephanie seemed to be cool with him moving out regardless of what Michelle thought.

Plus, don't you think that Michelle was actually being taught to be co-dependent by drilling home the idea that Jesse couldn't live his own life elsewhere? It wasn't like Jesse was moving out of town, he just wasn't going to live in Danny's house anymore. Or that was supposed to be the plan.

I said in another forum, that Full House if it wanted to give the audience morals, then it should've taught children that sometimes they don't always get what they want.

^^^ I believe that the matter of kids not getting what they want was eventually taken care of when Michelle was passed over for the Yankee Doodle role in the school play during season six.

God bless you always!!!
