Question Shows that seemed uncancellable

Not necessarily because they were truly good or highly praised. Just shows that were "meh", never really advertised (or has little buzz) that much, and got average to low rating but somehow went on for years.

I was a fan of The Middle, and I agree with that. The ratings were fair, not great--just good enough to get by.

The Office US version. It just didn't seem like NBC wanted to cancel it after Season 8, one full year after Carell had left. If I recall, ratings weren't that great towards it's end either. It just didn't need a Season 9. Even Season 7 when Carell was there, it was losing steam.

While I think Erin was decent and the actress is funny, I think the show was better before she joined and and Pam worked in reception, and before Jim and Pam got together. I also thought Angela was more cold, uptight, condescending in the earlier seasons and funny at it, and it became watered down later on.

According To Jim. It was usually rather juvenile and crude and didn't really do anything we hadn't already seen before.

Good choice. It apparently ran 8 seasons and is forgettable that no one remembers it.

According to Jim was the first show that came to mind. I said elsewhere I I think that its longevity was in no small part due to ATJ serving as kind of struck me as a place holder sitcom for ABC. In-between respective the ends of Roseanne and Home Improvement as well as the dissolution of the TGIF block and the start of Modern Family (their first real "mega hit" sitcom in years), ABC perhaps didn't really have that much going for themselves in the sitcom department. It was a bland, light-hearted, inoffensive show that benefited from being produced by ABC's in-house company (hence, good for syndication revenue).

Yes Dear and Still Standing are some more CBS sitcoms from the 2000s that had fairly healthy runs, despite nobody really talking about it (during their first runs or since).

Yeah I remember it and I knew it ran for like 7 or 8 seasons. It had a few good episodes here and there but for the most part it was just kind of lame.

I think some shows are just background noise. Nothing spectacular but just good enough to get people to watch it.

Sort of like the restaurant Applebees. No one gets hungry and wants to go out for dinner at chooses Applebees of all places. But Applebees is still there and even thrives so enough people patronize it. Some shows are Five Star restaurants. Others are Applebees. If that makes sense.

True.

Just Shoot Me, Suddenly Susan

I wouldn't get excited about any of them but they're good enough.
