The Modern Family star, who's been battling kidney dysplasia all her life, tells Self magazine she spent the end of 2016 in and out of the hospital after her body began rejecting her kidney. In 2012, Hyland announced that she had undergone a kidney transplant. Hyland revealed that her kidney transplant failing resulted in her having suicidal thoughts.
