Default What would be the best set-up for a Family Ties reboot

I know that it will likely never really happen because the cast made an agreement in the final year of Family Ties, no reunion movie, and no reboot. And even if the door was open for such a thing, you would have to take into consideration, Michael J. Fox's health.

As was the case, the most obvious set-up for could be a sitcom about a middle-aged Alex Keaton with millennial children. The only problem is that, it may come across as be too much like an educated Archie Bunker.

I wouldn't want to see a reboot of FT, but a reunion movie would be cool.

It's late for that.

30 years is an awfully long time between a series and a reunion movie. The actors have changed too much and the characters would be at such different points in their lives. Alex and Mallory would have adult children by now.

The only 30-years-later reunion movie I remember was the one for The Patty Duke Show. And that would have been better had it been done in the early 80s rather than the late 90s. Richard looked like a grandfather!

We don't need reboots.

Would have been great with Alex being a huge Trumper and he clashes with his anti-Trump kids and wife.
