I will not watch anything that's been "colorized" and if that makes me a square then so be it. I will take the name, wear it proudly like a badge of honor and recite the squares pledge:

"Squares rule the day, squares rule the night, forbid all colorizing, leave it black and white!!"

"Never Bathe on Saturday" was the first episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show I ever saw so I think I'll watch the colorized version on my black & white set.

I don't have a black and white TV but I could watch the episodes tomorrow on my color set and turn the color off.

Since they run these in December, how come The DVD Show doesn't use their Christmas episode every year, like Lucy does?

Maybe music rights issues? Otherwise it would seem a natural to run that episode.

Carl Reiner chooses the episodes, and he doesn’t like the Christmas episode.

This year’s newly-colorized Lucy episode looks terrible. Ethel has yellow hair.

Carl Reiner on CBS' colorized episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show: "It really lends itself to color"

The 96-year-old creator of the classic 1960s sitcom is enjoying CBS' tradition of colorizing a couple episodes during the holidays. "They’re wonderful," he tells EW. "It’s nice to see Mary Tyler Moore’s flashing black eyes and her hair. And Dick Van Dyke is the most talented human being ever. As a matter of fact, Steve Martin once said that in all of show business, nobody is more talented than Dick Van Dyke, and I agree with that."

I just watched both Lucy and Dick Van Dyke !! I saw the Lucy Christmas ep before colorized, but I REALLY ,Totally enjoyed Pioneer women. That is a really fun ep. anyway and was really cool in color!! I really had fun watching it!! And loved the colors !! The girls hair and clothes looked so nice in color and the apartment looked great in color too!!

To be honest as much as I like Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore ( I love him in Mary Poppins and Diagnosis Murder, and her in the Mary Tyler Moore show ) , I never was a big fan of the Dick Van Dyke show but it was fun seeing them in color!!

What a strange way to describe the colorized episodes. Didn't Mary have black eyes in black & white, too???

Comcast's X1 voice remote mistakes "Dick Van Dyke" for a dirty word

When trying to record CBS' colorized Dick Van Dyke Show Christmas specials, Comcast's X1 voice remote responds: "Sorry, I cannot handle commands with that type of language. ‘Dick Van d*** Christmas special.'" Comcast says it's fixing the error.
