ABC demotes The Alec Baldwin Show to Saturdays

Baldwin's talk show will move to a new Saturday timeslot on Dec. 8. While not an official cancelation, EW reports that ABC will be burning off already-taped episodes in its new graveyard slot. The news comes four days after Baldwin's NYC arrest for allegedly punching a man over a parking space. The Alec Baldwin Show premiered to a disappointing 2.1 million viewers on Oct. 14. EW notes that "ABC put out the news on Election Night when most news media and readers are paying attention elsewhere." Shark Tank reruns will replace Baldwin's Sunday timeslot.

I can tell that this show will very easily get canceled.

I'm not surprised that the ratings have been so bad. You have a show that is front-lined by an extremely polarizing host and made in an boring, outdated format (i.e. a Dick Cavett-Tom Snyder-esque talk show). The whole thing just comes across as a vanity project on Alec Baldwin's part.

i like some of his movies and also on snl 30 rock and even on match game but i watched the first ep of his talk show and found it so boring that i have not watched since

And when you get right down to it, Baldwin isn't really that good of an interviewer. He talks over his guests, he interjects his own stories way too much, and the interviews just seem choppy and don't flow well.
