...reality show
https://deadline.com/2018/10/worlds-...es-1202478360/ The 10-episode global reality competition The World's Best is from Mark Burnett and former Fox reality chief Mike Darnell, who was responsible for American Idol's success. The Late Late Show host James Corden will host and serve as executive producer. He'll be joined by Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles and Faith Hill on the judging panel. Burnett calls The World's Best "the Olympics of talent shows." CBS describes the show as "a first-of-its-kind global talent competition that features acts from every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet. They not only have to impress American judges, but will also need to break through the “wall of the world,” featuring 50 of the world’s most accomplished experts from every field of entertainment. The winning act will ultimately be crowned The World’s Best." |

I have seen previews for The World's Best and what it seems like to me that The World's Best is a ripoff of America's Got Talent and I don't think it will be a hit and what I can see after the first episode airs NBC will file a lawsuit against CBS for copying America's Got Talent because it will virtually have the same acts that you can watch on America's Got Talent and the exact same format as well. The only reason why people will watch The World's Best and it will gain ratings from the first episode is that James Corden is the host and it seems that CBS has turned James Corden into one of their biggest celebrities of the network and to put it simple I dislike James Corden and think that ever since he replaced Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show CBS has made him a huge household name in America by being a huge celebrity and as a spokesman for Keurig coffeemakers and the Carpool Karaoke segments on his talk show. But I think i'll stick to hearing James Corden's voice in the animated movies Trolls and The Emoji Movie. Another thing I noticed about The World's Best is why on earth is CBS airing it directly after the Super Bowl? Because I think that people will have something to look forward to after the Super Bowl and if you look at it every time CBS hosts the Super Bowl it's usually a time when they like to advertise new premieres of new game shows and reality shows. Take for example when CBS launched the premiere of Survivor The Austrailan Outback directly after The Super Bowl in 2001 it was Survivor's biggest hit season and scored the highest ratings of any CBS show in history and CBS knew that debuting a new show directly after the Super Bowl was smart but I can predict that The World's Best will last only one season then get cancelled due to low ratings

I suggest The World’s Best will be a big flop for CBS.

Why CBS picked The World's Best to follow the Super Bowl
CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl says "we considered everything," including Young Sheldon, FBI and God Friended Me. “More or less every show on our schedule, somebody threw it out there at one point," says Kahl. "The questions we really ask ourselves are, what can benefit the most from this plum slot? What can we really take advantage of?” Ultimately, the network settled on the new James Corden-hosted global talent competition after seeing how past CBS reality shows like Survivor and Undercover Boss did after past Super Bowls. The World's Best promises to be "completely different" from America's Got Talent The James Corden-hosted CBS reality show promises to show acts that haven't appeared on AGT when it debuts after the... The World's Best would be so much better if it wasn't so complicated What's supposed to separate CBS' new global talent show from America's Got Talent is its wall of 50 experts from around the world who make the final call. "So very much of the show boils down to the show explaining itself and stretching out the 'judging,' which mostly just consists of the panelists gushing and gasping in awe," says Caroline Framke. "Plus, given the way the averages tend to work out, there’s rarely much tension as to whether or not someone will move forward. In fact, even just the first two acts — a choreographed group karate team and a trio of tween boy singers — both moved on with combined scores of 99 out of 100. That doesn’t exactly leave much room for future acts to blow our minds, nor does it make all the emphasis on how this show’s supposedly singular judging is any better or more interesting than any other’s. If The World’s Best wants to be 'The World’s Best,' it would do better to stop trying to tell us that it’s so mind-blowing and let its acts do the talking." ALSO: |
