Why did The Parkers get a DVD set before Moesha? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Only the first season of Moesha has been released to DVD thus far, and that was a good seven years ago. Meanwhile, all five seasons of its spin-off, The Parkers have been released.

I’m guessing it’s because there’s more music rights to clear throughout the Moesha series. CBS Paramount isn’t exactly well known for getting those rights for their DVD sets.

Yea maybe it’s the music rights. They had tons of artists on the show almost every episode. One of my favorite shows from late 70s is having the same problem.
