Rel has it all in life. He's a successful man with a successful career and family... or so he thinks. Things fall apart when his wife has an affair with his barber, and then leaves town with the kids. Now it's up to his brother, best friend, and father to help lift him up and bring things back to normal in life in Rel, which stars Lil Rel Howery and is produced by his former co-star from The Carmichael Show, Jerrod Carmichael.

If anyone believes that Rel is really that bad, they are probably wishing that The Cool Kids had gotten the post-NFL special preview instead.

It’s really sad to see The Simpsons survive to an era where it’s really hard for new shows on U.S. broadcast TV to succeed, and most of them will crash and burn. The Simpsons always uses late-afternoon NFL football overruns as a crutch so it will keep getting renewed.

Rel gets a decent start in a post-NFL preview
About 5.05 million watched Lil Rel Howery's sitcom preview after Fox's NFL game on Sunday.

Apparently, Fox will re-air the pilot episode of Rel this Sunday (September 23) at 9:30, after the season 2 premiere of 9-1-1. Rel's second episode will air on September 30.
