Justin Sundquist suffered a head injury during a stunt involving him transferring from one vehicle to another, according to Deadline. His accident hasn't affected filming. Sundquist sued CBS last year, claiming he was hit by a car during a Hawaii Five-0 stunt gone awry. Injured MacGyver stunt coordinator is out of a medically induced coma, but "he's not out of the woods yet" Justin Sundquist is "out of ICU and knows what’s going on," fellow veteran stuntman Spiro Razatos tells Deadline. "He’s responding and communicating with his friends and family. He has a long road ahead of him, but he’s on a better road now. We’re all praying for the positivity to continue.” |

OSHA fines MacGyver producers for accident that left a stunt coordinator seriously injured
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says it fined CBS’ Eye Productions $9,472 "for failing to protect employees from hazards while filming a television show" after stunt coordinator Justin Sundquist "was injured while performing a stunt from a moving vehicle traveling approximately 18 mph. OSHA issued a serious citation for failing to provide adequate head protection during stunts.” |
