Madonna helped cement her legacy with her iconic MTV VMAs performance of "Like a Virgin" in 1984. "Madonna makes the eyebrows of people watching the very first first MTV VMA Awards go up, up, up into outer space as she shocks them all by rolling around suggestively in a wedding dress," says Malcolm Venable. |

No wonder why Mom and I saw a music video show about Madonna on Logo last night. I grew up listening to Madonna since I was a little girl when my mom bought a box of cassette tapes from a garage sale and in the box were Madonna cassettes of Like A Virgin and True Blue and Mom and I played them until they wore out and broke and then when I upgraded to CDs I bought some Madonna CDs and my first cd was the single of Frozen from Ray Of Light and then I got The Immaculate Collection for Christmas and it's a cool album that features Madonna's greatest hits. It's no secret that Madonna is still fabulous now at 60 and she's still got all the right moves and if and when she decides to retire from the music industry in a few years from now I think Madonna will be as big as Michael Jackson or Prince and will be remembered for her awesome music and fashion

Madonna does have a position in popular music. I like one of her first hit songs...
