As a kid I liked ODAAT better but as an adult I laugh harder at Alice. Love both though and have all of ODAAT on DVD and seasons 1-7 (waiting for 8-9) of Alice.

Younger, first run I'd say Alice. Now as an adult I still love Alice but I love ODAAT too. And ODAAT has the love of my life Max!!

I like Mel a bit more than Schneider, Tommy way better than Alex, Nanette and Martha undecided ?, Flo better than Ginny, Barbara & Julie equal to Vera & Jolene, Alice better than Ann.

Wouldn't it have been cool if they did a Alice/ ODAAT crossover episode? The ODAAT gang could be taking a road trip to California in Schneider's camper. They stop for a bite to eat in Phoenix at Mel's diner !!! Couldn't you totally see Flo and Schneider flirting with each other?!

That would have been cool! I think Tommy would have gotten a crush on Barbara too.. Ann and Alice would likely have butted heads. Or maybe Ann and Mel after Ms. Romano sees how he treats his waitresses.

Yeah I was thinking of Tommy having a crush on Barbara! And I thought Mel would maybe have the hots for Ann, but your scenario is better , he would like her but she wouldn't reciprocate his advances feeling he was too much a male chauvinist because like you say the way he treats his waitresses. How about if Ann convinced them to go on strike?

I'm no Alice expert, but they weren't close to same age, were they?

Yes! There'd definitely be some civil unrest, a battle of the network stars!

Yeah ! Barbara and Julie were much younger than Vera and Jolene ! They weren't young women! Esp. by those days standards. They were probably supposed to be like mid 30's ?

I could totally see Mel telling Ann to "stow it"! ...among other things.

Ann and Alice would totally have butted heads, and maybe Ann would've been disappointed with the way Flo handles herself. Ann would've probably given Flo a women's lib speech.
