The two Latino series are “teaming up to end family separation at the border,” One Day at a Time co-showrunner Gloria Calderón Kellett tweeted, urging writer to donate "to directly support legal services for detained separated parents and funding for their release." Vida creator Tanya Saracho used the hashtag #OneVidaataTime and a photo of her "beautiful writers room" to urge other Latino series, Jane the Virgin and ABC's upcoming Grand Hotel, to join in their fight.
