Are films that have higher box office revenue than their budget not generally box office bombs? Is it also possible for a film to make some kind of profit to still be classified as a box office bomb? And do you think that a studio's opinions matter except as they are reported on by reliable secondary sources?
Can marketing costs have a significant impact and home video revenue can offset losses? And does the simple rule of thumb of a movie "grossing double the budget" only provide some vague idea of a film's success? And is it true that most films don't break even in theaters these days because the theatrical run only represents roughly half of the lifetime earning potential of a film? |
