While four Fox Sports commentators head to Russia, eight will stay behind in Los Angeles and call the World Cup from soundproof audio and video booths using large monitors. "To me, it is a non-story," says David Neal, Fox Sports' executive producer of the World Cup. "In soccer, it is standard procedure to do matches off-tube. The number of traveling teams versus the number left here in LA is kind of irrelevant when we are doing half of the games with talent in-stadium.”

Since the USA won't be in The World Cup this year...I have NO interest.

This may be one of the lowest-watched World Cup games ever since USA, Italy, Chile, and The Netherlands aren't in it. Since the 90's, USA embraced soccer and the only North American Team that was in it prior to it mostly was Mexico or a Central American country.

Meso-America LOVES soccer...and sometimes baseball, especially in Mexico.
