Oh No

I'm pretty sure he'll appeal, but meantime he's now a pariah. He had it made in the shade, why did he do what he did. "Family Values" has a black eye because of this.

Sad but with all those accusers there's not much doubt. I was not a big Cosby Show fan, but I liked the original Bill Cosby Show which I saw in reruns. I also loved his stand up and his public morality stances. I've probably mentioned here a few times that Bill used to come into my studio while making the Cosby Show and seemed to be a regular guy and we all liked him. What a stunner that he was behaving like that when we knew him.

One thing I liked about him was that he would bash all the baby daddies/baby mamas and said it was a disgrace. That took a lot of courage, especially when people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton attacked him.

Anyway, I am mixed. I do think in some of the cases he was guilty but not all cases.

well, I still believe he's innocent. "But laws are made by men, and they're not always right." William Conrad "THE FUGITIVE"

Even without this news, Bill Cosby was already a piece of work when you really get right down to it. His supposedly wise and insightful "pound cake" speech was nonsense, because it presumed that every black kid who got shot by police was actually doing something wrong to justify it. He also blamed school drop outs and black youth in jail to be exclusively caused by bad parenting, without any consideration to school funding being piss poor or a legal system biased against poor blacks, who can't afford good legal representation.

It's hard to believe that he's innocent, because of over 60 different women, telling, roughly, the same story. I could question one, maybe two. But over
60? That doesn't add up! The whole thing is very sad and sordid. And, now
someone is accusing Tom Brokaw, of inappropriate sexual behavior. Unbelievable!

It is really getting hard to tell which ones are guilty and which aren't. It seems all it takes is an accusation to ruin somebody. I guess Hollywood's sins are coming home to roost because this has been going on in Hollywood for decades. As for Cosby he's one of the ones I'm sure is guilty. Just too many women coming forward.

Despite that I think Bill Cosby is guilty of what he is accused of here, he was and is absolutely correct about black youth and their own failures. Funding for black schools may be lower than rich white schools, but is nevertheless at staggeringly high levels compared to the rest of the world. The number one problem in the black community is absentee fathers - homeys that make little black people and run away. That and that alone leads to poverty, crime, ignorance and misery, and you can blather all you want but there's no denying it.

I hate to admit this but Babalu is right. I lived in an area like that and the problem was absentee fathers. The fact is a child needs both parents and needs a financially secure house. When someone breeds kids they can't afford with someone around it leads to gang members. Btw, I saw white people like this as well and yep messed up kids. Btw, the reason many of these schools often get less funding is because they are often in areas with less income due to many people on assistance.

I do think he is guilty. I think some men are unfairly targeted but there are way too many who have come forward and he used to "joke" about drugging women. It's been an open secret for years but he never got arrested before due to clout. Now with Me Too no one is safe. Like I said upthread, I do think some lied for publicity though.

Well here is how I see it ! Bill Cosby pretty much had a sexual fetish called Necrophilia (having sex with dead women ) !! Google it for further information! Or if not to that extent close to it, a fetish of having sex with a woman who was VERY out of it!!! What he should have really done was paid prostitutes good money to take downers/tranquilizer type meds , in other words woman who would be in agreement to this!

He was a married famous man, very loved and good looking and personable. Besides his wife MANY women would have loved to sleep with him I'm sure. If he just wanted to fool around and have straight regular sex there would have been many women that would oblige ! But being he was into this kinky type of sex and it was back in the day he figured he would never be found out or caught ! But in the long run if he had gone the prostitute consensual rout with his fetish, it might have come to public light but he wouldn't be in the trouble he is in today with the rape charges !

Am I making sense ? I know what I mean, but maybe I'm not putting it in words right?

That's an interesting viewpoint. Not sure I agree but you never know. I just think he was into power with sex like a rapist.
