Last night's episode was down 17% in total viewers and 25% in the demo, which falls in line with ABC and other networks' expectations. For comparison, the Will & Grace revival fell 30% in its second week.

which demographic is the primary one for which the 25% drop is of big concern? More people between 50 and 7000 are going to care about the show than many from the 18-49 faction.)

W&G's numbers going down a lot more is more depressing, at least for that show's fans.

Either Roseanne's followup episode isn't too catastrophic (by comparison), or a number of people who tuned in for nostalgia had no desire to see more o' the same for whatever reason. I'd expect a drop as well, people tuning in for the nostalgia and possibly not caring afterward.
