Question Which actors would be more famous if they hadn't ticked the wrong person off

And what is it they did? A lot of actors never quite take off and some stars just kind of fall off the A-list for one reason or another, but I'm curious about those who were on their way to greater renown before they pissed off someone they shouldn't have.

I feel like a lot of the actresses who turned down Harvey Weinstein's advances (to put it mildly) probably fall into this category, and certainly some of those who were blacklisted during the red scare.

I feel like Suzanne Somers falls into that category, over the whole Three's Company thing. Her career never completely recovered.

I wonder in Suzanne Somers' case, she had the same problem as Farrah Fawcett (another blonde haired star from ABC's "Jiggle Show" era of the '70s), by believing that she was anything more than a blonde bimbo. In Farrah's case, it took her many years to earn any real respect in the business via projects like The Burning Bed and Extremeties.

Suzanne Somers had at least 3 shows after Three's Company: She's the Sheriff, Step by Step, and Candid Camera. There might have been others as well.

Yes, and Step By Step was on for several seasons but I hated it. I've always thought Suzanne Somers is a terrible actress and I've never understood her popularity.

That's a pretty disgusting thing to say, that they were only famous because they slept with Harvey Weinstein, and not on their own merit and had more actresses submitted to his advances, they might be more famous

McKenzie Phillips had he kept her demons in check her career would've done well same for Willie Aimes.

Charlie Sheen was already a big name star but had he cleaned up his act he might've been riding high on a major come back right now Roz Kelly is another one who had she kept her ego in check could've been big in the 70's and 80's.

Valerie Harper if she didn't get into a spat with Miller-Boyett and Lorimar following the second season of "Valerie/The Hogan Family".

In the case of Suzanne and Valerie, they ended up having contract disputes that led to them being fired. But they both ended up doing pretty well afterward.

Not a sitcom, but how about Brian Dunkleman on American Idol?

It's my understanding that Willie Ames became a Christian and it was his decision to turn his back on Hollywood, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

I don't know I've never anything about anybody being angry with Brian Dunkleman for leaving American Idol and then trying to ruin his career.
