Jaimie Alexander is celebrating her 34th. She grew up in Texas, and moved to California after completing high school to go into acting. Her first film role was in the indie supernatural thriller The Other Side, although since that film was not released for a couple of years, audiences saw her in other film and TV roles first. She went on to regular roles on MyNetworkTV’s Watch Over Me, and then on seasons 2 and 3 of ABC Family’s Kyle XY. In 2011 she made her first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance, as Sif in Thor.

Alexander returned to the role of Sif in Thor: The Dark World, as well as in two guest appearances on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She has also had major roles in films like Loosies, The Last Stand, Collision, and Broken Vows. In 2015 she began starring as a mysterious, amnesiac woman known as Jane Doe on NBC’s Blindspot; the series is currently in its third season.
