Name some actors/actresses who were supposed to be big stars but instead, fell off?

In effect, actors/actresses that were POISED to be the NEXT BIG THING after their successful movies/TV shows but they then just fell off, either cause they wanted out or they were just box office poison and nobody really wanted to hire them.

Some that come to mind:

--Kate Bosworth---Was poised to be a big star but her career sort of vanished.

-----Lindsay Lohan---We kind of all know what happened here

------Josh Duhamel---His career sort of just never took off after "Las Vegas" was cancelled

-----Vanessa Marcil--- Worked steadily in the 90's and early 2000's, was on "General Hospital", "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Las Vegas" and then hasn't done much after "Las Vegas" got cancelled.

-----Neve Campbell--- after "Party of Five" ended she did a few films that weren't all that successful and then sort of languished in some smaller indie films before basically vanishing for a decade, before re-emerging in smaller guest-starring arcs on popular series like "Mad Men" and "House of Cards."


-----Eva Longoria---After "Desperate Housewives" she hasn't had much luck landing a series that lasts. "Telenovela" was quickly cancelled and several pilots she's done weren't picked up.


---Chris Kline--- He was a pretty popular actor in the mid-to-late 1990's and has roles in several popular films like "American Pie" and "Here On Earth" and then he sort of just vanished.

----Sean William Scott-- Maybe he got typecast as the "Stifler" character from "American Pie" but his career sort of just ended.

---Jessica Simpson--- Her music career was short-lived; her reality show fame faded when her first marriage exploded and she became a tabloid fixture. Her career didn't exactly go as planned.

Jason David Frank he played in the originally mighty morphing power rangers as the green ranger then he became the white ranger!! but after power rangers ended you didn't hear any thing form him!! he was in the last power rangers movie & was in mighty morphing power rangers super meageforce legendary battle TV movie!!
Mark-Paul Gosselaar he was best know playing zack morris form saved by the bell!! but after saved by the bell went off the air you didn't here of him in anything!! i know he had an show on tnt for couple years!!

She abandoned My So-Called Life and was supposed to be the next big thing in Hollywood, but things didn't go as they were supposed.
Her tv career is amazing, but I was thinking more of cinema.

What has Jon Hamm of Mad Men been doing since that show was over? I think he was going to be big and should be, but to me is only doing commercials. That was a great show, very iconic and he was very good in it, and thought he would be in many films, but not really.

He was the star of a Disney movie but that bombed. Shame. I too thought he would make it big.

I'd say the problem all 5 of them had is none of them were half as talented whoever their publicist/agent' were.

Jessica Simpson in particular has limited vocal skills and she is Razzie level bad as an actress. Once the hype faded at best all she could have hoped for is reality tv stardom.
