Actress Nicole Eggert is accusing actor-director Scott Baio of having "molested" her repeatedly when she was 14 until she was 17.

In a series of tweets Saturday morning, the former Charles in Charge and Baywatch star told another Twitter user commenting on Baio's support for President Donald Trump, "Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep."

In subsequent replies to Twitter users commenting on her tweet, Eggert described herself as a "molested child" and said that she was 14, 15, 16 and 17 when the alleged incidents occurred. To another user, she described the alleged assaults: "What is ur explanation for him fingering me at age 14?"

The pair starred together on Charles in Charge, which ran from 1984 to 1990, on which Baio played the title character and Nicole played Jamie, one of the children college student Charles became a caretaker for when he moved into a house off-campus.

In response, Baio's wife, Renee Baio, tweeted that his legal team had served Eggert with two cease-and-desist letters.

Baio added, on Twitter, "I'm about to do a Facebook live to prove her claims are 100% lies! #NicoleEggert."

In his video, Baio, whose wife can be heard from off-camera, addressed Eggerts' claims, saying, "The reason I’m doing Facebook Live is because no one can edit me…. This is the truth."

He went on to say that in 2012 and 2013, when Eggert first made claims against him, the actress was promoting reality shows she appeared in. Baio said he opted not to respond to the claims at that time. He then produced two letters, dated from last year, to Eggert and Charles in Charge costar Alexander Polinsky, who Baio claims "decided to team up against" him, telling them both to go to the police if they had legitimate claims.

Baio ended his video by saying, "I don't know what else to put out there. She's my best friend in the world, then all of a sudden I'm the bogeyman. The problem with almost all he said/she said cases is they're he said/she said. Now, go prove it or disprove it...the real problem with this is people with legitimate claims aren't taken seriously, and that's too bad."

Baio has made headlines recently for vocally supporting President Trump: He appeared at the Republican National Convention to tout the then candidate and made appearances on television and on Facebook Live, where he told liberal celebrities including Lena Dunham to move to Canada in one video.

The allegations don't make sense because she has been very complimentary of Baio and her relationship with him:

I would love a "Charles in Charge" reunion. I see an Old Navy commercial with us, something like that. "Baywatch" would be great, but it's such a large cast over so many years. People were interchangeable. "Charles" had solid characters and a solid family.

I’m not a fan of Baio (or Trump). But she’s simply not credible, given her past comments.

If we’ve gotten to the point in this country where it’s OK to use whatever means necessary to destroy someone with whom you don’t agree politically, then I’m really concerned for our future.

TMZ has released photos of what it says is Dr. Oz interviewing Eggert on Jan. 10 about her molestation allegations against her former Charles in Charge co-star Baio. Nicole Eggert meeting LA police to file a report against Scott Baio; says 6 new witnesses support her on-set molestation claims

Nicole Eggert is speaking up about the recent allegations she made about Scott Baio and whether a police report will be filed in the case.

The actress was out in Los Angeles on Friday morning where she also revealed that she has received messages from 'five to six' on-set witnesses who could help corroborate her allegations.

In addition, Eggert said that am appointment had been made with special units in Los Angeles so that she could file a report.

She then took a dig at Baio for saying earlier this week that Eggert should stop spreading rumors for the sake of his daughter.

'I would like to see him come clean for the sake of his daughter,' said Eggert.

'I would to see him be a good parent.'

Eggert was also asked what it was like to get the support of Rose McGowan.

The actress and director posted a tweet on Wednesday in which she applauded Eggert for coming forward and said: 'We hold you in our light.'

Eggert was quick to point out however that McGowan was just one of many women in the industry who have been subjected to sexual assault, before giving an update in her own case.

'I woke up to messages from five or six more on-set witnesses,' said Eggert.

When asked if she believed there might be other victims though, Eggert became a bit cryptic.

'I can't comment, but if there are I hope they have the courage to come forward and I will stand by them.'

Eggert detailed the difficulty she has been having while she tries to come to terms with Baio's alleged molestation of her, which began when she was just 14, on an episode of The Dr Oz Show this weel.

'It’s, you know...strange. It makes sense...to me it makes sense, but as I’m going through this process, I’ve never talked about this so much before, you know?' said Eggert of her emotional state during an interview with Dr. Oz on Wednesday.

'This is something that’s...you know, I’m also working through it and other memories are coming up for me. It’s been a long time.'

Eggert then became emotional, fighting back ears as she said: 'So, you know, to say I have everything down and I have it perfect wrapped up in this tiny little box, it’s just not...reality. I was 17, I’ve always said I was 17, and that still doesn’t change the fact that everything happened up until then.'

When asked about the alleged abuse, Eggert said: 'I knew it was wrong, I knew all along all of it was wrong, because I was constantly reminded that it had to be a secret and whenever anybody asks you to keep a secret it’s wrong, yet being a teenager and going through puberty and all of that it... you...I sort of stayed in it and just keep quiet.'

Anyone think this is liberal Hollywood's attempt to discredit Scott Baio for his conservative Trump views? Scott has been quite famous for his outspoken political stance - even Henry Wrinkler has distanced himself from this particular issue. Maybe people are calling Scott out for his misogyny.
