Yeah, but there were other sitcoms that got away with characters crossdressing long before Small Wonder did. All In The Family and Happy Days both did it. Small Wonder wasn't even the first sitcom to have a child crossdress because Silver Spoons had Ricky doing that in a first season episode.

this was taken from my favourite episode; 'the adoption'.

it was always nail-biting and hilarious, to see what lengths the lawsons were willing to go to, to hide the fact that vicki was a robot. they're lucky that the social worker (my favourite secondary character) didn't tag along with the doctor.

jamie's reaction was hilarious; 'how gross could i beee?'.

the doctor being touchy-feely and commenting on his looks was more controversial than the cross dressing.
