ABC has "emerged as a surprise bidder for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football package," according to SportsBusiness Daily. If ABC does acquire Thursday Night Football package, it would use the NFL production team of sister network ESPN. |

Fox joins ABC, NBC and CBS in vying for NFL’s Thursday Night Football
Fox is the latest broadcast network to submit a bid for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football package, despite Fox CEO James Murdoch blaming Thursday games for a decline in NFL viewership three months ago, Bloomberg reports. CBS and NBC, which paid a combined $450 million for Thursday Night Football last year, are aiming to pay less for the package in 2018. |
