Well, I highly doubt Betty over indulges like Russian men reportedly do. My guess is that she assumes her fans will understand that she is being "snarky" and playing up her vices for comedy.

I'm sure she does, in fact, like those two things, but she obviously doesn't abuse them because she'll be 96 years old in one week. She would also eat tuna fish every day if it were served to her, (according to Valerie Bertinelli) so she also eats things that are more healthful.
