I have been watching a lot of Seth Myers on YouTube for his late night political commentary and whatnot (like a Closer Look) and he is hilarious. He Ito me is very genuine, friendly and not pretentious. He also does very good interviews with mostly interesting guests I like.
Jimmy Fallon, not so much. I will say I watch a lot more Myers than Fallon, but I think Myers would be much better for The Tonight Show, since this is the premier late night property, while Myers show is later in the evening and not as important perhaps. But because of the Internet, when the show is on is probably not as important and I live in China anyway. Also, it is very easy to watch interviews of his guests (or any of them) online. The other guys? Jimmy Kimmel is Ok, I like him more personally because of his kid, and he doesn't care about getting emotional and showing his true feelings (like when Don Rickles died, except Rickles ghost would make fun of him by saying "I was 92, and wanted to get away from my wife, quit being a baby, geesh!") Stephen Colbert I like the least, I think he's an ass. Not his politics (all of the skew liberal which is OK), just don't care for him. Bill Maher is an ass too, but is smart, funny and makes good points. I love John Oliver also, but getting away from my original point. I think Myers should have the Tonight Show job and send Fallon packing. Yes or no? |

Give it to Greg Gutfeld. He's the funniest of them all.

Seth Meyers had a big year on Late Night, but so did Amber Ruffin
“As good as Meyers is at delivering Late Night’s topical bits...the show this past year has also made me wonder if he’s going to end up a footnote in the Amber Ruffin story,” says Tara Ariano, noting that Ruffin has broken out this year on Late Night’s “Amber Says What?” and “Jokes Seth Can’t Tell” segments. |

Good point. Guess we're lucky to have him where he is.
