Which NBC television affiliates have aired Wheel of Fortune since around 1983-1985, including both the NBC daytime version with Pat Sajak, Rolf Benirschke, and Vanna White from September 1983 to June 1989 and with Bob Goen and Vanna White from January 1991 to September 1991, and the current syndicated version?
For instance, in San Francisco, Wheel aired on KRON when it was an NBC affiliate, from day 1 of the syndicated run, until switching to KGO (an ABC O & O) in February 1992 (due to KRON trying an 'early prime time' schedule, in which it aired network shows an hour earlier than normal). Meanwhile, WPBN in Traverse City has aired Wheel and Jeopardy since the mid to late 1990s. Before then, they were on ABC affiliate (and now sister station) WGTU, which wasn't a full market ABC affiliate at the time |

I know WTHR (NBC) here in Indy has aired Wheel for years. It's at 7 pm. I don't imagine anyone could guess which game show follows that, at 7:30.

A long time ago Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! aired on my NBC affiliate. I don't know when it left, but they moved to my CBS affiliate at least 15 years ago.

My NBC affiliate WILX has aired the syndicated Wheel practically since the beginning in 1983, minus a few years in the mid-90s when my ABC affiliate somehow managed to snag away both it and Jeopardy. They got both of them back in 1996. It's always aired at 7pm. And yes, they also cleared the NBC Daytime versions.

For as long as I can remember my NBC station has aired Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy together starting with Jeopardy at 7PM PT and then Wheel Of Fortune at 7:30 PM PT and the lineup has done miracles for my NBC station and on rare occasions my ABC station sometimes airs Wheel Of Fortune on weekends at 6PM PT. I think in some markets the local NBC stations really like to air the Jeopardy/Wheel Of Fortune lineup because it's so successful for them. My NBC station used to have Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy as their top game shows but two years ago my NBC station added Steve Harvey's Family Feud to their afternoon lineup and it also has been successful. In TV today when it comes to syndicated game shows Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy are always the hit game shows when they are added to NBC stations but I can tell you in a few years CBS will try to get the rights to both Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy to air on the local CBS stations so that the NBC stations could air more syndicated game shows as syndicated game shows are becoming more and more popular in ratings

From what I understand WOF was an NBC game from 1975 till I'm not sure when it left the air.
The syndicated version debuted in 1983 and I'm guessing that was created so stations would show them at night. |

Daytime WOF had a few weeks off in 1989 as it moved from NBC to CBS, then returned to NBC in early 1991, where it stayed until September of that year before stopping for good.
