Too bad they had to go to the laundromat, though. One begins to really appreciate having a washer and dryer in an apartment. I've heard that in Europe most apartments/houses have washers and dryers in them so laundromats aren't a thing.

Would have been cool to have an episode seeing the kids at a laundromat getting into some kind of twisted mixup...

On the episode "The Charming Stranger" (the ventriloquist Jack and Furley thought he was a criminal from London), the man came where the lounge chair is, like if there was some kind of passage that goes behind the wall of Jack's bed.

I love this blueprint.

There are two laundromat mentions. The first is in Season 2's "Home Movies," where Janet tries to go do her laundry but the laundromat is closed. Second mention is in Season 8's "The Charming Stranger," and because Terri refers to it as "the laundry room" it sounds like the apartment building finally offered its own laundry services.

Also in "The Charming Stranger" the layout gets rearranged outside, as Lyverbe mentioned, because in the early season credits we saw that Apt 201 had a private balcony. "The Charming Stranger" layout is an impossible space. Because Jack can hear "the Duchess" talking on the other side of his wall, that means the front door of Leslie's apartment must be just past Apt 201's window, and his apartment juts out perpendicular to 201 and shares a wall with Jack's bedroom. Remember, Jack has an outside window at the left end of his bedroom, so we know there is no apartment on the left side of 201. It's kind of fun. The Golden Girls apartment is very similar—when you start thinking about where everything is nothing makes sense!
