Default Taran Noah Smith fixing homes of those affected by Hurricane Harvey

http://www.insideedition.com/former-...e-harvey-38760

Quote:
Former child star Taran Noah Smith, who became a widely recognizable face after appearing on 90s sitcom Home Improvement for eight seasons, is now lending a hand to improve the lives of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Smith, who portrayed Mark, the youngest son of Tim Allen's bumbling handyman Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, is now donning a tool belt of his own while helping others.

“It is very strange; I'm now doing tool time for real,” he told Inside Edition about his charitable actions, which include driving a forklift and handling a power drill.

He lives at a camp outside Corpus Christi, Texas, where he volunteers with Burners Without Borders to repair and clear buildings devastated by Hurricane Harvey.

He's been seen hauling away thousands of pounds of debris from a damaged Moose Lodge, disposing of damaged mattresses and even demolishing a condemned home.

The former child star has been living in an orange truck at the camp ground for two months.

He also gave Inside Edition a tour of the workshop area, which contains all of the wood that was reclaimed from demolished homes.

“We have a nice outdoor shower which was great during the summer, but now it's getting a little cold,” he added.

Nice to see him passing the torch from his TV father, but in real life!

12. TARAN NOAH SMITH (HOME IMPROVEMENT)

Taran Noah Smith portrayed Mark Taylor, the youngest of the Taylor sons, on Tim Allen’s Home Improvement. Having spent a huge chunk of his childhood on the show, Smith made a lot of money before he was even allowed to spend it. Sadly, that money became an issue for him and he ended up taking his parents to court for it when he was 18.

Besides that, Smith also had some other drama including marrying a woman almost twice his age when he was only 17. All of this happened right after the show had ended, leaving him very little time for acting. Smith wanted to explore a different life.

He eventually divorced his wife and started focusing on doing other things. He’s mostly been seen while doing major volunteering projects.
